Shipping and Handling:
Most orders are shipped the same or next business day. You will be notified via email or telephone of any back orders or other delays in shipping your order. You may cancel any unavailable merchandise, or have a back-order entered at that time. All shipments are sent at our sole discretion via USPS, FedEx or UPS, depending on type and weight of merchandise, and your location, unless otherwise requested by you at time of your order.
Dormition Skete uses each carrier’s real-time shipping quotes, plus an additional charge to cover the cost of shipping materials, insurance, and other administrative costs. This additional charge varies according to the items ordered and the shipping materials required. Our WebStore’s Shipping Calculator is designed to return rates which most accurately reflect our actual shipping and administrative costs.
All Shipping and Handling Charges should be considered Estimates.
Dormition Skete reserves the right to request additional funds if it is discovered the Shipping and Handling charges calculated by the WebStore are not sufficient for the order. If you decline to pay the additional charges requested, Dormition Skete reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any payments you have made in full.
No additional charges will be made to your Credit Card or PayPal Account without your knowledge and permission.
Conversely, if Dormition Skete discovers the Shipping and Handling charges you have paid to be excessive, we will refund the excess amount if it is material enough to warrant the effort and additional administrative costs associated with this.
Dormition Skete prefers to ship via U.S. Mail (USPS) whenever possible.
International Orders:
Customers placing International Orders will be responsible for paying any additional Customs or other Duties applicable to your order.
Expedited Orders:
Expedited Shipping is available for most in-stock items. Generally speaking, orders must be placed before 10:30 am MST for it to ship that same day. We will make every effort to ship Expedited Orders the same day, but that may not be possible. If not, we will endeavor to ship it the following business day, if possible. Some items may not be available for expedited shipping. If we foresee a problem sending out an Expedited Order promptly, we will make every effort to contact the customer by email and/or telephone.
Transit Times:
Delivery Estimates are provided by the carriers. They assume shipping to occur the following day, which may not be possible, and do not take into account Sundays or Holidays.

Order Review:
If you would like us to review your Shipping and Handling Charges prior to completing the order, please include a note in the “Comments” box when you place the order, and we will be happy to do this for you. We want you to be happy with your order. Our goal is your Customer Satisfaction.
Return Policy:
All merchandise is guaranteed to be of kind and quality shown. No returns without prior approval, and absolutely no returns after 30 days from receipt of merchandise, regardless of reason. All returned merchandise must be returned undamaged and in sellable condition unless you received it damaged. All return items must have an RMA number issued by us authorizing the return. Damage claims must be filed immediately with the delivering carrier, and we must be notified within 72 hours of receipt of damaged merchandise by you. Any authorized return other than for damage or error on our part will be subject to a restocking fee of not less than 15%, plus pro-rated shipping and handling. All returns must be carefully packed in the original packaging and shipping cartons (if practical), with all shipping charges prepaid.
Please be aware: Most people seem to think icons are not easily damaged since they are made of wood, but that is not the case. Please take care to package any items you return carefully, so they are not damaged on their return trip to the monastery. If an item you received undamaged is returned to us damaged, this may affect your refund or return.
Check, Cashiers Check and Money Orders:
All funds must be in U. S. Dollars, drawn on an U. S. bank. No merchandise will be shipped until sufficient time has been allowed for all checks, regardless of type, to clear your bank (normally 10 working days) unless you have established a good customer history with us. If your payment is returned by your bank for any reason, you will be charged the maximum allowable fee for collection in your area, plus any fees assessed by your bank. All returned checks may be reported to check approval or collection agencies.
Special Orders:
All special orders must be paid in full at time of order, and may NOT be cancelled once we have begun work on your order. If paying by personal or business check, allow 10 working days for your check to clear before we begin working on your order.
